Conformance Status
We firmly believe that the Internet should be open to everyone and are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest audience, regardless of circumstances and abilities.
To fulfill this commitment, we aim to adhere as closely as possible to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a variety of disabilities. Adhering to these guidelines helps us provide a website that is accessible to everyone, from the blind to the mobility-impaired.
This website uses various technologies designed to make it more accessible. We use an interface that allows people with specific disabilities to adjust the UI (user interface) of the website and design it to their individual needs. This interface replaces the traditional accessibility approach of presenting the same simplified interface or design to all users.
Here are some of the features of the interface:
Font Adjustment - Users can increase or decrease the font size, change the font family (type), adjust spacing, alignment, line height, etc.
Color Adjustment - Users can choose from a variety of color contrast profiles, such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap the color scheme of the title, text, and background, with over 7 different color options.
Animation - Epilepsy patients can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Interface-controlled animations include video, GIF, and CSS blink transitions.
Content Highlighting - Users can choose to emphasize important elements, such as links and headings. They can also choose to highlight only focused or hovered elements.
Audio Mute - Users who wear hearing aids may experience headaches or other issues with auto-playing audio. This option lets users mute the entire site at once.
Cognitive Impairments - We use a search engine linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary to allow people with cognitive impairments to decipher the meaning of phrases, acronyms, slang, and more.
Additional Features - We offer users the option to change cursor color and size, use print mode, enable virtual keyboard, and more.
Additionally, the site uses an AI-based application that runs in the background and optimizes accessibility levels every 24 hours. The AI engine fixes the website’s HTML issues and adjusts the website’s features and behavior for screen readers used by the visually impaired and keyboard functions used by the motor-impaired.
We use AI for the following accessibility components:
Screen Reader Optimization: AI runs in the background and learns the website’s components from top to bottom, providing meaningful data to screen readers using the ARIA attribute set. For example, it will provide accurate form labels; descriptions of actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, shopping cart icons, etc.); validation guidelines for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogs (pop-ups), etc.
In addition, AI scans all images of the website and provides accurate and meaningful image object recognition-based descriptions as ALT (alternative text) tags. It will also extract text embedded in images using OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen reader adjustments at any time, users can simply press the Alt+1 keyboard key combination. Screen reader users are also automatically notified to turn on the adjustments after entering the website.
Browser and Assistive Technology Compatibility:
Our goal is to support the widest possible range of browsers and assistive technologies so that our users can choose the tools that work best for them with as few restrictions as possible. Therefore, we work very hard to support all major systems that account for more than 95% of the user market share, including: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera, Microsoft Edge and I.E 11 or higher, JAWS and NVDA (screen reader) for Windows and MAC users.
This website may also work using other platforms, but we do not officially support them and recommend users to use the above systems.
Notes, Comments and Feedback:
Despite our best efforts to allow anyone to adapt the website to their needs, there may be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of achieving accessibility, or lack adequate technical solutions to achieve accessibility. Nevertheless, we are constantly improving the accessibility interface, adding, updating and improving its options and features, and developing and adopting new technologies. All this in order to always achieve the best level of accessibility and in line with technological progress.
If you discover a glitch, if you find any aspect of the interface difficult to use, or if you have an idea for improvement, we would love to hear from you. Simply click on the "Feedback" button at the bottom of the interface and fill in the feedback form. Alternatively, you can send an email to our website accessibility team at https://nelida.shop If you prefer to speak directly to the website owner, please send an email to the address above and we will provide you with their contact information (we will not publish this information due to spambots collecting and abusing data).
